Lymm Radio partners with Warrington Town

Lymm Radio has hit the back of the net after securing sponsorship from Warrington Town Football Club.

The Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division promotion-chasers become the station’s official sports sponsor as they look to expand their fanbase throughout Cheshire.

Lymm Radio offers unrivalled coverage with four daily sports bulletins, and tonight launches a new weekly Monday Night Sports hour between 6pm and 7pm, presented by Dave Riche.

The partnership will see Warrington Town as sponsors of all the bulletins and the Monday show, plus the station will work with the Yellows on an exciting new digital package which will create a new showcase for all the club’s media content, plus maximise their social media and digital reach.

Warrington Town chairman Toby Macormac said : “We strongly believe in supporting the local community, and with its family values and determination to be the best, Lymm Radio is the perfect sports partner for us.

“We’re very proud to be supporting local sport in the region.”

Dave Riche, sports producer and head of business development for Lymm Radio, said: “We approached Warrington Town, who are a well-run, family oriented and ambitious club.

“All of these values are important to Lymm Radio, and Paul Smith (station director) and I sat down with Toby (chairman) and for about two hours talked football and experiences.

“It was great to do this and build up a great synergy that we feel will be hugely beneficial to both the station and the club.

“As we look to add DAB to our portfolio later this year, which will give us a bigger reach, we will be making our sport bigger and even better, and having a sponsor at such an early stage is vital to our growth.”
