Barrow Raiders will head into the international break off the back of consecutive victories after a 10-try demolition of Workington Town in the Betfred Championship.

Four difference players grabbed a double in the Raiders’ 58-0 victory, while captain Jarrad Stack and the returning Hakim Miloudi also got in on the act.

The match also saw forward Mathieu Cozza make his debut for the club following his recent arrival from Catalans Dragons.

Jarrod Sammut opening the scoring after capitalising on some indecision in the Workington defence to touch down under the posts, and Tee Ritson added another soon after, racing over from halfway after being teed up by Miloudi.

Ritson’s second came eight minutes later, and there was even time for captain Jarrad Stack to crash over just before half-time to make it 22-0.

The second half saw the Raiders score 36 unanswered points at Derwent Park as they proved too strong for their Cumbrian rivals.

Sammut grabbed his second on the hour mark, before Luke Cresswell touched down under the posts and Hakim Miloudi marked his return from suspension with a four-pointer in the corner.

Miloudi’s try marked the start of a frantic final few minutes, with Matty Costello (2), Cresswell and Shane Toal all crossing before the final hooter.

Sunday’s impressive victory leaves the Raiders sixth in the table ahead of the international break, with Paul Crarey’s side not back in action until they welcome Halifax Panthers to the Matt Johnson Prestige Stadium on Monday 27 June.

The game, which kicks off at 7:45pm, will be live on Premier Sports. Tickets for the fixture can also be bought here.

The international window could see a number of Raiders players feature for their country, with Tom Hopkins receiving his first Wales call-up and Sammut set to represent Malta against Lebanon.
